With 400 employees in Europe, we focus on developing high-tech system solutions for and in partnership with customers in the Automotive, Industrial, Graphics Solutions, Digital TV and Communications markets. We offer student placements for the academic year 2012-2013 in our Maidenhead design centre, as part of our Communications Business Unit. The centre is responsible for design and development of high performance mixed signal intellectual property (DACs, ADCs) for communications infrastructure, plus Application Specific Standard Products for applications such as Networking, Wireless and Wireline.   Placement/Internship - Test Engineering You will have opportunities for experience ranging from device evaluation through to demonstration platform design and FPGA digital design. Circuit design in test and applications environments Mixed signal and RF device evaluation using leading edge test equipment Development of test control and reporting environments in Matlab Verilog test bench development for large scale ASIC designs.  What we expect from you: You should currently be studying for a first degree in Microelectronics or Electronic Engineering and have a course requirement to complete a 12 month industrial placement Have a good understanding of the fundamentals of analogue & digital electronics Be interested in circuit design and schematic capture Have some experience in either C++, Matlab or Verilog/VHDL Start and Duration: Summer 2012, for a 12 months contract Recruitment Process: Selected candidates will attend an interview in Maidenhead.  Would you like us to look at you now?
